Pharaohs’ “Manhunter” crawls out of a scrubby jungle underbrush with the sole purpose of licking you right across the face and then gyrating wordlessly out of your lap. The song is dripping with tropical atmosphere, as well as subtle rhythmic alterations that mimic an occasionally slippery climb up some majestic jungle peak. Somewhere between Spyro the Dragon theme music and the most introspective club music ever, “Manhunter” is as appropriate for scaling digital fortresses of moss and stone as it is for dancing into an impossibly distant sunset.
