Former president Genreal (retd) Pervez Musharraf has been declared the prime accused in Benazir Bhutto Murder Case in the final challan of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Anti-Terrorism Court.

The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism court, headed by Judge Habibur Rehman heard the Benazir Bhutto murder case on Tuesday during which the FIA submitted the challan of the case.

The court, issuing the notice to the accused, has summoned him on July 2.

According to the challan, Pervez Musharraf was directly involved in the murder of Benazir Bhutto. He laid the conspiracy to murder the former prime minister, broken her box security and given the terrorisms access to her.

FIA also made Benazir’s emails she sent to the American journalist Mark Siegel, alleging Pervez Musharraf is consistently threatening her and he will be responsible if something happens to her.

FIA also accused that the former president was feared that the presence of Benazir will made it hard for him and his supporting parties to win the general elections, that’s why he murdered her through a malicious conspiracy.

FIA’s Prosecuter Chaudhry Azhar couldn’t appear in the court due to security concerns. The former prosecutor of the case Chaudhry Zulafqar was gunned down by unknown armed men in Islamabad last month.

The court ordered to ensure the FIA prosecutor’s presence in the next hearing.
