A few weeks back I indulged in a spot of retail therapy as a reward for a rather productive week ( I haven't had too many of those recently, so it deserved acknowledging). I mosied on down into the local shopping center and headed straight for my go-to stores of River Island Topshop and New Look (well they are my go-to stores in Bury anyway).
The contents of my wardrobe is probably about 60% River Island merchandise, so I favour this store as a first stop because I know that I will always find something that suits my style and on the whole usually fits my body shape really well too. Not one to let me down I came across a number of items that got my heart rate elevated and that familiar rush of endorphins meant that I knew my plastic friend would be getting a bit of a work-out. In the end I treated myself to a couple of new things in there and a sizeable haul by the end of my shopping spree [all of which I will showcase in another post].
As soon as I saw these White Hidden Heel High-Tops which happen to be from River Island. I knew I had to have them. I've been toying with getting a pair of high-tops for a while but couldn't actually decide on a pair. These reminded me of the Isabel Marant wedge trainers, just with a far purse-friendlier price tag at only £40.00!!
Later that evening, I needed an excuse to wear my new high tops. So we decided to go to the local pub and test our gray matter in the pub quiz. This was the outfit I put together for that casual occasion. Obviously with my high tops being the star piece!!
