"Be patient and you will be happy!" I can still hear my mother's words of advice (over and over!) I think I can finally understand what she meant. If you are in the buying or selling process with your home, I hope you can access some additional patience. You may need it. I certainly did!
The paragraph above is from a guest post by a dear friend and life coach about their buying and selling experience four years ago. What's interesting is that although the circumstances may have changed, patience is still needed four years later... just as it was four years before and four years before that, etc.
I was chatting with friends here from California earlier this week about how frustrating it can be for buyers to get involved in multiple offers and lose their 'dream home' to another buyer. Our friends talked about their move to California over 15 years ago where the same thing happened to them. They lost out on several properties before getting the home where they have lived since then. In looking back, they said they were glad they didn't get the other houses because they like the one where they are so much better.
That is what I see happen over and over and over again... whether buying or selling, when it is right everything falls into place. It doesn't mean there may not be some obstacles to overcome and that it won't be frustrating along the way that sometimes seems like forwever, but patience ultimately is your best friend... not only in real estate, but in all of life.
