Pastel diamond engagement rings are just perfect for this weekend – Easter Sunday, in case the “seasonal” aisle full of diabetic nightmares at your local grocery store hasn’t clued you in yet. Or that catchy Target commercial that takes liberties with Genius of Love lyrics (but then again, who hasn’t with that song…)
Anyway, Easter weekend starts now. And if you’re looking for something candy colored that won’t give you cavities, precious gems are always a great place to start.
First up, a pretty in pink pear shaped diamond in a two tone halo. This beauty features a GIA certified natural fancy pink pear shape weighing 1.01 carats. The halo is made up of both white and pink diamonds, set in rose and white gold. The accent diamonds add .37ctw of white round brilliants and .07ctw of fancy pink diamonds (that inner halo.)
This beauty is one of my favorites. It’s totally unexpected, with a light pink marquise diamond headliner. The center stone weighs .70 carats and is SI in clarity. The setting features another .19 carats of natural pink diamonds making up the rose gold halo. The spotlight diamonds are my favorite, trapezoids (aka trapeze cut diamonds) weighing .21ctw. The shared prong diamond extravaganza on the band weighs .11 carats.
Let’s shake things up with something blue. This amazing blue diamond is actually a Natural Fancy Blue/Green, per GIA. This gives it a warmer cast, and the 1.20 carats are cushion cut perfection. The setting uses approximately 0.60ctw of Round Brilliant Diamonds, G/H in color and VS in clarity, to round things out.
If you want to go blue on a budget, this gorgeous halo is perfect. The center stone is a richly colored London Blue topaz surrounded by 1 carat of beautiful round brilliant diamonds G/H in color and SI in clarity.
This beautiful pear shape ring is one of my favorite combos: rose gold and morganite. The center morganite is a whopping 5.38 carats, and the diamond accents are .65ctw.
Another pear shape, more perfection. This time in the form of a natural Fancy Light Pinkish Brown diamond weighing 1.01 carats. The pink halo adds .14ctw, the accent diamonds in white add another .38ctw, and those awesome kite shaped diamonds that give this ring a look unlike any other add .30ctw.
For my last pink pick for today, I can’t resist this huge light pink marquise. It’s 3 carats and VS2 in clarity, and we set it in this fabulous platinum split shank halo with an added .74 carats of round brilliant diamonds G/H in color and VS in clarity.
Of course, I can’t do any kind of fancy colored eye candy without including my favorite fancy color: yellow. This beautiful radiant cut weighs 3 carats, is light fancy, and a beautiful VS clarity. The double halo hugs the radiant cut corners and adds another 2 carats of G color, VS clarity diamonds to this amazing ring.
