Okay I know what you're thinking, Why is she doing another fashion challenge?
I said the same to myself but I couldn't pass this one! To be honest even though my blog is largely based on beauty I love mixing it up with fashion. I may not have amazing style but I love creating little outfit collages! I can do it forever. I was emailed by the lovely people over at money supermarket inviting me to enter their passion for fashion blogger challenge and it sounded great so I entered! Today is indeed the last day and I don't know how I didn't post it before -_-
Anyways before I ramble on, you are suppose to create 5 outfits for the following, each outfit costing no more than £200 (which is a lot for one outfit!)
- Casual
- Outdoor
- Party
- First date
- Office
I found this beautiful crochet shirt from Topshop that I am in love with because its crochet and I love crochet or lace or anything like that. It just makes an outfit appear so classy. Plus I picked a white top because apparently there's a rule that you can't wear white in autumn/winter but I wear alot of white during this time as it just looks so much brighter and different from everyone else. I paired it with these dark indigo jeggings from ASOS because jeggings are really comfortable. I love jeans and jeggings in this colour because this shade gives a very causal vibe. And because this is England and this challenge need to be autumn/winter inspired, I paired these items with a zip up hoodie that you can throw on (with the zipper down) so that you don't freeze! I have a secret love for hoodies. They're the best. For some casual yet stylish shoes I chose these simple slipper shoes that I completely hated when they came out but recently I have developed a liking for them. They look really cool to me and comfortable too. On my causal days I still do like to use some lipstick and have some jewelry on for which I chose this really pretty natural lipstick lips in Nevada by Topshop which is pale nude (something I always have on!) and some assorted bracelets because as we all know I love arm candy. How gorgeous is that bag?! I am in love with it!
Jeans Top Brogues Anorak Umbrella Studs £151.23Usually with the British weather I prefer to stay inside hahah but if I do go outdoors I know I need an umbrella (a good sturdy one!)! I found this hooded anorak that I must say I kinda want now. It's very me in a way. This will deffo keep you warm because of the faux fur lining inside and you can wear this with so many different things. I paired it with some black high wasted jeans because usually when I go outside to get something done I literally just throw on my trusty black jeans. I love these suede brogues! I actually love brogues. At first I though they aren't really my style but they actually look okay and I like that these are chunky because you'll most likely to step in a puddle and the ones that are really flat kinda get wet. Some very simple grayish studs cause we love simple jewelry, right? A simple studded shirt like the one above can be worn under the anorak and you are ready to go outside!
Dress Leggings Shoes Bracelet1 Bracelet2 Lipstick Blush Clutch£109.41I assume that people like to be comfy yet stylish when on a first date? I wouldn't know -_-
Anyways, I found this dress on Nasty Gal and omg I LOVE it! I am gonna make one like that because I have fabric exactly like this in this colour! I love this color. It's so different from any other blue and it's so vibrant. I don't know about you but I think this is a beautiful color for autumn regardless if it's seen on the runway or not. It's the perfect mix of flirty and chic. You don't wanna be cold so pair it with some extra thick leggings and some shoe boots which I feel pulls together this look nicely. Some very pretty gold toned bracelets and a pinky/cream clutch to tone it down. Lets not forget some blush and some lipstick to complete the look. This is my favorite one so far!
Dress Shoes Jacket Bag Lashes Bracelet Earrings Lipstick Nail-polish £195.13For a party look, I chose this metallic like dress that I stumbled upon. I am loving metallic dresses for autumn and I think this particular one would look amazing when you put it on. It's the kind of a dress that you would find a bit 'blah' but the 'blahs' are the gems if you ask me. The foil strips inside this lantern dress will probably look amazing at night time because of all the reflects in it. I love the shape of it as well. Pair it with a blazer or a blazer like jacket, like the one above to keep warm as well as nice metallic envelope side bag. I found these earring on accessorize and though they went with this so well and a really gorgeous bracelet in a subtle shade. Just put on some fake lashes, a nice nude lippy and some Barry M magnetic nail paint and you're all good to go. Oh and don't forget some court shoe heels!
Blazer Shirt Skirt Shoes Watch Lipstick Necklace£195.99I have to say I am not that familiar with the office section but I do know what I would like to wear when I have a job. I personally think that office clothing does not have to be boring. You can always somehow bring your style and personality across. When I think office wear, I imagine an outfit that's tailored, powerful yet stylish. I chose a waterfall blazer which is short at the back paired with a pale pink pleated shirt to add subtle color. I always loved the idea of a knee length pencil skirt so I added a tailored pencil skirt with the other two pieces. Watches can really polish an outfit in my opinion and so I added an almost cream coloured one that has a slightly more causal feel to it. I also added some heels to add sophistication and a red lip which I think looks amazing with office wear for some reason; which is also perfect for fall time. To add some personality, I added a statement necklace which isn't too in your face but quite subtle.
I hope you guys liked this post! Sorry, I know it's very long!I really really enjoyed putting all these together and I also have a new wishlist now!If you have done this challenge please leave some links below!
