Taken at the recent wedding of Aimee & Mladga at Athelhampton House, this image struck me immediately.
A lovely documentary image that presented itself. One that illustrates my approach to capturing the real story of the wedding day. Looking for the unexpected moments, often found amongst the wedding guests themselves as opposed to just centring attention on the Bride and Groom.
The emotion of a situation is often self evident, and too often easily captured through facial expressions. I’ve had the pleasure of taking some beautiful images of many a Bride and Groom shedding a tear or two, along with parents and even friends. But this image goes one step further in the subtleties of working within narrative.
A tissue being passed between the front row, in front of the couple exchanging their vows.
Simple, clean, yet it says so much! – I love it!
