Try saying that five times fast!
B and I recently attended a party hosted by Peanut Butter & Co. to celebrate the launch of a new product: roasted peanuts! I’ve worked with PB & Co. a bit in the past, and love how fun and approachable all of their products are. One of my favorite soups (Spicy Red Lentil, Peanut & Pumpkin Soup) is made with their The Heat Is On spicy peanut butter.
The event was held at Rogue & Canon, a cool bar downtown stocked with a slew of bourbons and ryes. B is from Kentucky and we are both born bourbon lovers, so we had fun looking at some of the labels.

Fun snacks, too!
Most of the passed hors d’oeuvres were made with flour or meat, but I did snag a little peanut butter ice cream shooter! It went wonderfully with a glass of white wine… but then again, what doesn’t?
Hooray for longer daylight hours!
We were sent home with some goodies, including giant tubs of Dark Chocolate Dreams (fun for baking!) and a book of blogger-collected recipes called 24 Hours of Peanuts.
There was one recipe that immediately caught my eye, for Peanut Butter Chickpea Snack Bites, submitted by The Lean Green Bean. They’re like a combination between these Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “Laraballs” and this Cookie Dough Dip.
I stored my balls in the freezer because I thought I’d have them around for awhile but they didn’t even make it through the week! Seriously addictive, in a delicious way that doesn’t weigh you down.
Balls are great snacks to keep on-the-go or at home for a little mid-day (or mid-night!) pick-me-up. Here are some of my other favorites:

It’s a relaxed Friday around here: no work, school, or doctor’s appointments. It’s a day for laundry and leisure, with a little school work mixed in. Happy summer!
