Paphiopedilum Or Slipper Orchids

By Pattyhankins @PattyHankins

One of the most easily recognizable types of orchids are the Paphiopedilum  or Slipper Orchids. The labellum’s on slipper orchids are pouch-like – where the nectar produced by the plants can be found by pollinating insects.

Many of the paphiopedilum orchids I’ve photographed were not identified by species – so instead of trying to guess which one belongs to which species – I’m just sharing all the photos as Slipper Orchids. If by any chance anyone recognizes any of the varieties in the photos – I’d appreciate it if you would let me know.
