I am currently falling madly in love with Pantone colours and the classic designs they lead too! Up until recently I only new of Pantone as a tool fo graphic designers and artists to use for inspiration and finding colour tones; little did I know that they offer us a fantastic resource for inspiration and, well for me, the sheer variety of colours makes me smile! As you all know, I couldn’t live without colour in my life, I even celebrate black and white, which are technically not colours (that’s the only thing I remember from my degree!)
Now Nectarine is a wonderfully happy colour but notoriously difficult to wear, especially if you have very pale shade of fair skin; but this doesn’t mean that we can’t wear this shade we just need to know how! Here are my rules for wearing nectarine!
- Remember that you don’t need to cover yourself in fake tan! Half of the reason we look good in clothes is down to confidence!
- Accents are key - going head to foot in nectarine will not only look 1 dimensional but could make you look like the Tango man (anyone born in the 80′s will remember him)
- Don’t be afraid to add it to your make up bag – if you don’t want to wear this colour why not dab a little onto your lips or cheek ones for a fresh summer look!
- If you have fair skin, keep the nectarine away from your face and wear on your lower body; think shoes, skirts or skinny jeans!
- Nectarine and black are a fantastic colour combination but if you fancy a change try adding in browns and ever blue tones!

I LOVE THIS! Pantone colors are all so fabulous and Nectarine is a prime example! We love it so much that we made it our color of the week and put together a fabulous outfit on our blog to show how to dress wearing Pantone's Nectarine using a complementary color palette. You can take a look at it here www.weartostandout.com/blog/pantone-nectarine and tell us what you think! xoxo, WearToStandOut
