I am the girl who has the hardest time finding trousers that flatter both my flat butt and skinny legs- that is one reason why I don't own a basic pair of black pants. Yeah, you heard it right. Guilty is charged and I solemnly confess that " I am a fashion blogger and my wardrobe lacks one of the closet staples- black pants." The struggle for me is real and hence I mostly choose to wear skirts and dresses versus pants that are way harder to find.
But I am super excited this fall, not only cuz I get to bust out all my jackets, but also for the myriad pant varieties the designers bestowed us with this past fashion week. From wide legs, to high waists, to pleated bermuda pants, there were options abound and I have rounded up my top four from all the choices.
1) High Waisted- actually speaking, high waist never goes out of style. It is either high-waist jeans, high-waist skirts or high-waisted pants for that matter. There is one clothing item that has the high-waist silhouette each season. Depending on the body type you should choose the pleats at the waist style wisely. If you have a little tummy, avoid the pleated ones and go for the flat front ones and vice-versa. Play around with different options and you'll be impressed how forgiving and flattering this trend is.

2) Bermuda shorts- If you remember this post where I talked about the season's must-have bags and little did I talk about the bermuda shorts that I was wearing? Bike shorts were a rage this past summer but the fall is about to witness some serious case of cropped wide leg aka Bermuda shorts. I was on the fence about this trend but the second I put it on " I was sold ". Finding the right pair and length can be tricky. So take time to try on a few pairs before you settle in for your favorite. I wore this with pumps but now that the weather is cooler, I plan to wear it with high-heel boots.
3) Leather pants- talk to me about this trend and I can sing my own saga about the best leather skinnies one can have and which I own BTW. Leather pants in fact leather clothing is back and I am pumped. I have so many leather pieces, from skirts to mini dresses to leather trench jackets that when leather pants came out as a contender for fall pant trends, I was beyond thrilled. Now I just need to find a pair of black leather trousers to add to my arsenal of leather clothing... vegan by all means!
4) Printed pants- when I say 'printed' I just don't imply floral, I mean animal print. Animal print is going to be cooler than the weather this fall and I am going gaga over it- leopard, snakeskin, zebra and what not. I haven't really shopped for an animal print pant this fall but the one that you saw here will be making rounds this fall as well. Probably with a colorful top option this time around- black paired with leopard print is so dated....right?
