Pancake Breakfast

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Happy Weekend! So glad it’s finally Saturday. The weather is a little grumpy, great for running. A cool 64 degrees with overcast skies. But not so great for fun-summer-weekend fun. I had on the mind a bbq this afternoon but the clouds killed that idea.

This morning we went out to the Local Applebees for the children’s theater yearly pancake breakfast fundraiser.

The theater sells tickets for breakfasts and the characters serve the pancakes.

I had orange juice 2 pancakes and 2 sausage links.

The local Applebees offers this fundraising opportunity to all non-profits in the area. It’s a great way to make some money. The girl scouts are doing a pancake breakfast next week.

We had the Tin Man and the Lion, Dorothy was greeting at the door and the Scarecrow made an appearance while we were eating.

Pretty fun way to have breakfast.

Max was in town for the breakfast so we planned on doing a 3 mile run after. We did 3.2 miles in about 30 minutes. Slow and steady wins the race.

We  both wanted some caffeine after our run so we stopped by the bucks for coffee and Awake tea with soymilk.
