Paint Job Nail Lacquer Swatches & Review

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!
I have some polishes to share with you from a new indie polish line, Paint Job Nail Lacquer.  It was created by a former schoolmate of mine and I'm super happy that she's doing something she loves.
First up is Boosted.  It's a sheer polish packed with pink and purple holographic microglitter.

Above, I used three coats on its own.  It applied really well, but as I mentioned, it's sheer, so you wouldn't get full opacity with this polish.  It's great for if you want a really soft look with a bit of sparkle.  It also dries super fast.
I decided to layer one coat over Wet n Wild Bite The Bullet for a more opaque look.

Sunlight

I really liked this combo.  This is a really pretty polish!
Next is Hybrid, a mint green with blue and green sparkly microglitter.

I used two coats of Hybrid with no base or top coat.  It was slightly thick, but applied without any problems.  This is such a pretty green.  I love the subtle shimmer that comes from it.
Curb Appeal is a white creme base with blue square glitter and pink and blue microglitter.

The first coat of Curb Appeal was streaky, like most whites are, but it leveled out with second coat.  It's slightly thick, but manageable.  I used NYC Grand Central Station as a top coat.
Traffic is a sheer purple jelly base with black hex glitter, black bar glitter, blue medium square glitter, and blue small glitter.  It also has sparkly shimmer in it.

As you can see, the polish is really sheer, so it's difficult to get full opacity.  Above, I used three coats.  So, I decided to add two coats over Nails Inc Pembroke Close.

I absolutely love Traffic over Pembroke Close.  It really pops over the purple.  And I love how unique the glitter combo is.
Date Night is a gorgeous orange, leaning red with golden shimmer.

The formula for Date Night was slightly thick, but it applied well.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.  This one is definitely my kind of color.  The shimmer just makes it glow.  Love!!
Driven is a deep purple holo.

Driven has a really great formula. It's slightly sheer, so I used three coats for full opacity.  The holo is subtle, but so pretty!!  It's such a great shade of purple.
Finally, I Bought A Lemon is a yellow crelly base packed with a colorful mix of microglitter, some of which are holographic.

I Bought A Lemon applied really well and had great glitter coverage.  There was the slightest bit of VNL after two coats, so I added a third for full opacity.  Two coats would work though.  Here I used Rejuvacote as a base coat, three coats of I Bought A Lemon, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.
I think Melinda did an awesome job with these polishes.  I love the variety and uniqueness of the polishes.  My personal favorites are Hybrid, Driven, Date Night and I Bought A Lemon.  Yes, the yellow was one of my faves.  I really loved wearing that one.  It's really pretty!
For those who noticed "by Car Couture" on the labels, it's a business that her hubby started and she decided to add a nail polish line as a part of it.  So cute that they're working together.
Paint Job Nail Lacquer can be purchased online at etsy here.  Minis are $3 and full size bottles range from $5 to $6.
