Our Saturday Christmas Activities Using Stencil

By Etspeaksfromhome
Our Saturday Christmas Activities using StencilIt was another gloomy Saturday so we decided to stay at home to do art and craft and baking with the kids.  It's always a great way of spending family time together.  At times, it can be quite stressful for me preparing the items before both children start pestering me.  So I brought out all the stuff we needed the night before. We started off making Christmas cards for our relatives in Singapore using a stencil to draw and write on the card.  I still remember when I was very young we used to own a few huge stencils from Alphabet to Numbers.  We used those with our school projects, posters and school bag.  Now there are so many different types of stencils from letter stencils to cake stencils. After the kids finished using the stencils, they randomly pasted foam shapes, coloured paper and flowers on the Christmas card ready to send off to Singapore!  Next, I rolled out the puff pastry and put butter on top before grinding the cinnamon sugar on it.  This is a very simple recipe which I had blogged about early last month.  Ms C helped me to press out the shapes using the Christmas tree, star and circle cutters.  They are perfect for Christmas snacks if you are hosting a Christmas party.  They are easy to make and ready in 15 minutes. Our Saturday Christmas Activities using StencilNext I gave them cards to thread with the pipe cleaners while I tidied up the house for our next activities.  They were happily sat there threading it.The last activity we did for the day is to stick leftover TinyMe Owl wall stickers onto the 'C' shaped wood ornament for Ms C.  We did think of using ribbons and sprinkle to add more color onto it but decided that less is more.  This is our finished project.butterfly tinymeWhat a great way to spend a Saturday together with art and craft, baking and threading!  It was a very productive day!  Disclosure: This is a PR collaboration.
