USA Today reports that a recent poll found that half of Americans believe that supernatural forces influence the Super Bowl.
Also according to the poll, 26% of those surveyed have prayed to God to help their team. This seems like a really unrealistic expectation if “your team” is the New Jersey Devils, doncha think?
The story didn’t reveal whether real sports conditions were simulated during the polls, for example how many 32 ounce beers the people polled had consumed.
