Good morning all! Today's post is of our bedroom decor, incase you haven't noticed or I haven't mentioned it enough...we have recently been re-decorating our room! We didn't need to paint thankfully but everything was still pretty christmassy, obviously minus the christmas tree! Our room has always been decorated with creams, browns and whites which is nice but we really fancied a slight change..We were torn between two different looks, a vibrant colourful room with funky accessories or a chic and modern design, Ben much preferred the latter so that's what we went for! And so the decor shopping began, I was literally in my element browsing online and going out to little stores as well!
You all know how much I love the shabby chic look at the moment so definitely kept that at the forefront of my mind when buying some bits! Once we'd decided on black and white as our theme, we thought we should add a pop of color by adding some red accessories too!
New Bedding - The Range

The front has a Victorian style pattern which sits across the very top, whilst below are two little drawers which are actually surprisingly spacious inside, they are quite deep and go back further than you think! Perfect for keeping your favorite books in!
The canvas is from Canvas Design!
We got sent our canvas in size 30 x 40, i'm usually a little dubious of larger canvas' incase of any blurriness or pixels showing, however I needn't worry, the quality is exceptional, crisp and beautifully sharp! The wrapping of the canvas is smooth and secure, no bulging bits of the material or out of focus imagery! It literally looks like the original photo (if not better!).
These fairy lights were from the little Christmas tree in the first picture!
Obviously couldn't forget one of the most important finishing touches, gorgeous smelling candles!
Just like fairy lights they can add that magical touch to a room, I love using them around the bath especially, I tend to light about 5 or 6 and place them around the bathroom just before running the bath, just to get the scent around the room, turn off the lights and it becomes so much more inviting and relaxing than having a bright bulb in your vision! Plus you can even save on electricity, the more candles you use, the less lights have to put on! My new favorite is the Yankee Candle Vanilla Cupcake, it's too delicious!

"Its modern, sleek and very heavy duty, not something you would expect from a clock that costs only £10! If you pay anything under £20 you kinda expect something a bit flimsy and cheap looking, however this looks far more pricey than it looks! The frame surrounding the clock is thick and sturdy and has a smooth chrome finish too! "

One of the items at the top of my wish list was this gorgeous vintage inspired clock, a white shabby chic inspired design with roman numerals! I just think it looks so pretty!

To add that pop of color I mentioned above, we decided to complete the bedding with a cute red runner, it has super subtle stitch detailing that instantly adds a contemporary style to your room!

As if I don't look forward to my bed by the end of the day anyway, knowing this is what it looks like makes me even more excited! Snuggly cushions, fresh bedding and pretty fairy lights for that extra added cosy effect, perfect! :)
I think we will keep this look for a long time, it works with every season and the products will last for a really long time too!
