I have yet to be able to identify exactly what this genre of music is. Do we call it indie? Do we call it r&b? Whatever it is, it sounds wonderful. This new style of music is heard notably in the work of Miguel or The Weekend – dreamlike r&b that sounds like magic. London singer/producer Othello Woolf is one of the latest magic makers of this electronic-r&b-indie-soul fusion. Woolf just released his new single titled “Odysseus” which will be on his upcoming album due this spring. Odysseus shrills with high whistling synths, along with low bass and lush vocals that are almost incomprehensible – but that doesn’t matter! Have a listen.
