I hope you liked my last post on that lipstick from VOV which was all glam.Well Christmas is around the corner and usually I like everything that is Red and Green in this season especially make up. I did review a green eye shadow from Oriflame Very Me collection a few days back hence I thought that I should review this lipstick which is called as Oriflame Pure Color Lipstick in Rich Red.I have used it a couple of times let us see how good it is....

The Oriflame Pure Color Lipsticks come under their basic line of lipsticks being the most inexpensive. It comes in a black packaging with a transparent plastic cover. There is a sticker stuck on the lipstick with some basic information but nothing really of any use as ingredients is not mentioned. The lipstick shade can be viewed from the top as it is transparent. The cap click locks well and hence it is travel friendly. Overall boring packaging and should be improved on.
The lipstick is a decently pigmented deep red color. Well I would say Red with pink undertones i.e Pinky red. There is finely milled shimmer to it as far as I know but it does show up or can be felt on the lips, in fact it gives a nice effect to the lower lip when it hits the light. The lips look more fuller with this lipstick. It goes on very smooth on the lips and glides well since it is moisturizing. The shape of the bullet is different and unusual than other lipsticks you may have tried. Well to be honest this is not my favorite shape when it comes to lipsticks as it becomes a pain to apply it or may be there is some technique I may not be aware of. It is very moisturizing on the lips but it is always advisable to exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying the lipstick. The lipstick has a lovely scent which may annoy none. One swipe may give a decent color but not enough and has to be layered on for a more saturated color pay off. Due to its creamy formula the staying power is average and once worn off leaves a pinkish tint on the lips.The Good:
Lovely deep red shade.Finely milled almost not there kind of shimmer.
Moisturizing.
Lipstick has a nice scent.
Inexpensive.
The not so Good:
Packaging should be improved.Needs to be layered for an opaque finish.
The shape of the bullet should be changed.( not preferred by me)

The lipstick would have scored better in my review if it was long lasting. The color is very nice but then I can find a better option in the market and whose formula is a bit long lasting. Having said that it is worth a try as it will suit most skin tones. However this won't be a repurchase for me.
