This morning on our 5:15 call, Joe Contrera led and asked us,

“Where were you one year ago? – And where will you be one year from now?”

He then moved it closer – “Where were you one month ago – and where will you be one month from now?”

He moved it closer still to one day ago and one day from now and then he asked us about one minute ago and one minute from now.

His point was that when you are focused on anything past or anything future – you’re missing this moment.

A good reminder that we can only live now – and yet, for me it helped to understand that the things I do daily – a year ago I was on the 5:15 call and will be on it a year from now, God willing,-  are the things that make my present so rich.

Starting my day with a routine that helps me, from my daily writing to the accountability call starts me off well – making this moment better is a wonderful thing and I do it now.

Dwight Eisenhower once said – “Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him.”

What are you doing NOW that works for you? And if you’re not doing something now that is moving your forward, do something else. It’s your choice.

You create your day by the way you think! Make it magnificent!

Blessings, Shawna Schuh
