And it is probably the only reason that everyone should watch Les Miserables, when it comes out in December.Interestingly, the release of the film has been pushed back by a couple of weeks to fill the spot recently emptied by Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby (smart move? stupid move? what do you think?), but from this little featurette that was released through Odeon Cinema, earlier in the week, there really is one reason to go see this film...all the singers are singing live.
For me, this is just fantastic, because it allows for real emotion and passion to be placed into the songs, something that is quite often missing when the actors are forced to mime along with previously recorded tracks. For a film like Les Miserables that thrives on that real rawness, I think that this is definitely the right move for the films producers to make.
