One Killed, 11 Injured as ANP Election Campaign Targeted in Charsadda

CharsaddaAt least one person was killed and 11 others sustained injured in a blast on Awami National Party’s election campaign in Charsadda on Monday.

According to initial reports the explosive material was strapped around a motorcycle, placed near the vehicle of  ANP’s electoral candidate Mohammad Ahmed Khan, who is contesting election from PK-17.

Ahmed Khan remained safe in the attack. Several other vehicles and nearby shops have also been reportedly damaged in the blast.

The injured were shifted to the hospital, where a person succumbed to his wounds.

The election campaign of ANP has been consistently targeted throughout the country alongside MQM and PPP.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has announced to carry out attacks on the liberal forces to sabotage their election campaign. However, despite of attacks and threats, the all three parties have to partake in polls with full strength.
