I'm a sucker for yummy macarons but had yet to find a "favorite" flavor...that is until this previous Sunday, when Kristyn from First Impressions and I visited Olivia Macaron in Georgetown.
This darling shop is located next to Dean & Deluca and had the absolute best macarons I have ever tried. I don't think I've mentioned it on here before but my favorite flavor of anything is "fresh mint." Growing up around my grandparents growing fresh mint and soaking it in their tea got me hooked at an early age. Low and behold, Olivia Macaron had a fresh mint flavor when I ventured in so of course I had to try it. The darling shop is one that I will make a point to visit again (and order from if they ever ship outside of the DC area!) After all, apart from the macarons themselves, who doesn't love a WALL of giant macarons? It was love at first taste! xoBCC
