A Gastric Bypass Revision is sometimes necessary for a number of reasons. The primary ones are regain of weight or an excess amount of reflux with a mini gastric bypass, necessitating a revision to the RNY Bypass. Cynthia had a Gastric Bypass Revision in 2019 and is doing amazing! Here is what she had to say:
Hi JoAnne, it's Cindy from Oklahoma! It's nice to hear from you! Things are really good on my end. Gosh, since we last communicated I'm down to 120.6 pounds and have been for the past month. Prior to that I was weighing 126 for the past 9 months, and before that I was 135-140 for a while. Prior to the weight loss surgery, that I had 2 1/2 years ago in August 2019, I was averaging 180-200lbs. So, I've come a long way! My weight loss journey is going well, thanks to you, your team and the doctors. Actually I have nothing to complain about except now a lot of my clothes are too big! LoL! 🙂 If I was asked about any complaints or side effects, resulting from the surgery, it would be that since the surgery, I have a lot of gas's, but other than that, everything is great and I feel wonderful! You have definitely made this girl "oh so very happy"! People constantly give me compliments and that makes me feel special. I am sending you some current photos of me and what my body size/figure, looks like now. Feel free to contact me for any additional info and/or pics. Hope you are doing well. CindyWe are so glad you are doing so well and feel "oh so very happy"! Thank you for sharing this fabulous update with us all...we love hearing from our patients and celebrating their successes! You should be proud of how far you've come, Cindy! Keep up the great work, you look wonderful!
