The first official trailer for Rob Reiner’s The Magic of Belle Isle has gone online. The film is directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Rob Reiner (This Is Spinal Tap, Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, The Story of Us) and scripted by Guy Thomas.
In the film The Magic of Belle Isle, Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman essays the role of a famous western novelist whose struggle with alcoholism has sapped his passion for writing. He moves to a rural town called Belle Isle where he meets a single mom and her daughters who reignited his passion for writing.
The film stars Morgan Freeman, Virginia Madness, Kenan Thompson, Madeline Carroll and Fred Willard. Magnolia Pictures will release the film The Magic of Belle Isle in limited theatres on July 6th, 2012.

Summary:
Reuniting with his director from the hit film, The Bucket List, Morgan Freeman plays Monte Wildhorn, a famous Western novelist whose struggle with alcoholism has sapped his passion for writing. He takes a lakeside cabin for the summer in picturesque Belle Isle, and befriends the family next door—an attractive single mom and her young daughters—who help him find inspiration again.
