c/o SheIn gingham dress | Chinese Laundry shoes Again and again, as I run around my day, the thought to simplify chases me hotly. It seems like I have clutter in my mind and everywhere in my life; clutter that I have allowed to accumulate. This week I have begun to determinedly declutter; starting first with downsizing my wardrobe again. I intend to progress into digitizing my educational lesson notes so that I can eliminate the clutter of years of paperwork, perhaps put carbon back into the ecosystem.
It’s looking a bit challenging to downsize my wardrobe so I’m mindful to apply my wardrobe core values throughout the process. A few years back, I tried to maintain the one -n-one-out method of preventing clutter. I found that it didn’t work out fine because I needed first to properly downsize years of clothing. I don’t know how much downsizing I can achieve, but I intend to keep at it until I uncomplicate my life in that department. The simple freshness of this blue and white gingham off-the-shoulder ruffle dress from SheIn lifts my mood. I like things that lift my mood. The blue pointy heeled shoes do not take away from this freshness. It’s a bluesy day. I went a little retro chic for the second look by donning this vintage-inspired pearl bag and my go-to pair of silver heels and I rediscovered this simulated sterling silver sapphire earrings from deep down my trinket case. To assist me in the process of simplifying my existence, I’ve been intentionally indulging in the mindful book: A Woman’s Guide to a Simpler Life by Andrea Van Steenhouse, PH.D with Doris A. Fuller
