OCC Technicolor Plastic Passion  for Spring 2014 says this is not the season to play it safe! Gone are the demure pastels and flirty palette of seasons past, replaced instead by hypersaturated hues and technicolor textures.   OCC’s PLASTIC PASSION collection delivers its most vibrant lineup of Lip Tar shades to date, in both our Matte and Metallic textures. Lips are lacquered in shades that are bold beyond belief. For Spring, excess is everything!   Featuring the legendary DEVEN GREEN as the faces of PLASTIC PASSION!

OCC Technicolor Plastic Passion

Founded in New York City in 2004 by makeup artist David Klasfeld, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics started with a pair of Lip Balms, ‘Tarred’ and ‘Feathered’. As an artist, Klasfeld wanted to develop products that met the needs of artists who weren’t satisfied with the traditional options found on the market, through a commitment to innovation in color, texture and selection.

In 2006, OCC introduced OCC Skin, one of the first airbrush formulas created specifically to address the needs of High Definition beauty. OCC Skin quickly made it into the kits of artists working in television, film and advertising.

2007, OCC’s Nail Lacquer range was created in partnership with the Chelsea Art Museum for the opening of an exhibit entitled “Dangerous Beauty”. A recipient of OCC’s ‘Dangerous’ Nail Lacquer at the event was the Style Editor at MTV.com who later named the polish a “Must Have for Back to School 2008”. Also in 2007, OCC launched Loose Colour Concentrate, a deeply pigmented multi-purpose shimmer powder. The difference was not what we put in it, but what we left out – fillers, extenders and translucent mica – giving new meaning to the term ‘pure pigment.

After two years in development, 2009 heralded the launch of Lip Tar™ at The Makeup Show: Los Angeles. With the instant support of celebrity makeup artists in attendance, Lip Tar™ was declared the “talk of the show” by WWD on the day it was launched. Almost instantly, OCC attracted the attention and overwhelming support of the blogosphere.

Since the overwhelmingly successful launch of Lip Tar™, OCC has released shades in both its original Matte finish and a newer Metallic finish, as well as a more translucent (but equally innovative) version of Lip Tar™ called Lip Tar: Stained Gloss™. After 2 years in development, and field-testing on the run- way, OCC has also expanded its complexion range with the launch of both OCC Tint: Tinted Moisturizer and OCC Skin: Conceal in 2012 both of which were designed to meet both professional and consumer demands for an expanded range of complexion products.

OCC strives to be on the forefront of color cosmetics, while honoring both our professional makeup artistry and cruelty-free heritage. OCC is proud to be 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free, as internationally certified by PETA.
