Our next New York Fashion Week runway report comes courtesy of Mr. Jason Wu.  Inspired by the Helmut Newton exhibit at the Grand Palais in Paris, Jason Wu went dark for his Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Sticking to a palette of mostly black, white, and nude (with the occasional pink and navy blue) allowed Jason to infuse this collection with his signature tailoring and ladylike playfulness.  It was a subtle, intriguing balance of 1950s Hollywood starlet and modern dominatrix, a word I never thought I would use on this site.

Although not initially my style, I have found myself going back again and again to look at these pictures and have slowly, but surely fallen in love.  Once again Jason Wu takes me to a place I've never been before and I have loved it all the way...

We'll have more from New York Fashion Week later today and, if you'd like, you can see the rest of Jason Wu's Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Style.com.
