Hello Fashionista’s , I hope all is well, and that you are staying FLY as usual. One of my favorite parts of my job is when I get to go out in the field and meet new designers, stylist, and Fashionita’s . Last Weekend I had the opportunity to meet and view NYA NYA Couture, a fabulous line by Crystal Harris. Urban Glamour is her inspiration for this line and Fashioncrush1.com had the chance to see it in live and living color. NYA NYA Couture was created in 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. The Company’s name is derived from her daughter Nyah , and has been seen in some of your favorite magazines, Upscale, and Essence Magazines to name a few. So as we venture of to the Sheraton Birmingham my photographer and I were excited to see what this young woman was bringing to the runway. The show was hosted my Ms. Nickee Mack of Diva Day International and Jay McGhee, a young up and coming male model who was a contestant on the Bravo reality show ” Make Me a Super Model”. The NYA NYA Fashion show was a benefit event for Women of Domestic Violence, a very good cause.

We had an overall good time at this show benefiting Women of Domestic Violence. Ryan Christopher famed stylist was also in attendance and FashionCrush1.com asked for his overall review of the show. “I was actually very excited about the show and was looking forward to it ! I think there were great ideas as far as some of the designs yet I didn’t care for the fabric choices and overall execution . There were elements that I liked”.
As with all fashion shows the runway presentation didn’t begin as scheduled, though we were rewarded for our patience as the models began to hit the runway. It was a good show and we were pleased she came to Birmingham to showcase her designs.
