Over on my cute little show, Hart of Dixie, I knew that the time would come when Wade, my favorite shirtless redneck, would do something to mess up his relationship with Dr Zoey and this was the episode. Of course as a non practicing, non educated therapist, I know it all came from fear. Fear of disappointing people, fear of failing, fear of trying, typical guy stuff really. I felt bad for him, but unfortunately it looks like things aren't going to play out very well, and so the cycle of "boy loses girl" is probably about to begin...again. On this show, you know, something has to happen in the town square every week. This time it was Wanda and Tom's musical zombie marriage proposal to the tune of "Islands in the Stream". You know you're humming it right now. Everyone loves "Islands in the Stream, and of course they both said YES which should result in a wedding that will take place where else...in the town square. Perfect season finale idea if you ask me. Side notes for this episode: Lemon and Walt broke up, Levon told Annabeth he's still into her, Lemon and Magnolia tried to be BFF's by coloring their hair purple, and George Tucker told Tanzy he's nobody's b*tch. Nice to see George come into his own and not be so wimpy.
Okay, so I had been reading about the new show Cult that premiered on the CW right after Hart of Dixie last night. Coincidentally, my husband ended up walking in just as the show started and he stayed and watched the whole thing with me. I will say that it definitely kept our attention, but my brain hurts. The show is about a TV show called Cult that has a cult following. So there is this show within a show component, but then there is an added layer. Alaric from The Vampire Diaries is a reporter whose brother Nate, an obssessed fan of the show, who also seemed a bit mentally unstable, has disappeared. He warned Alaric that "they" were coming to get him. It's confusing and you can't multi task AT ALL when you watch it. I kept pausing the show and saying to my husband "wait...is this the show or real?". I'm going to keep watching but this one could be a bit exhausting for me. The good news is that the show I watch after it requires zero brain power whatsoever.
While the flashback episodes on How I Met Your Mother have been wearing on me, last night's Cougar Town flashback episode was actually welcomed. I was always wondering how the cul-d-sac crew met and this episode provided me with everyone's "meet/cutes". It also provided me with Jules and Bobby's original redneck look and hairstyle which was worth the wait. Lots of Courtney Cox cleavage this episode. I honestly believe that she's purposely raising the bar on herself every week to provide more and more opportunities for her upper assets to get some exposure. It's a helpful distraction from her face. While it's still very beautiful, the botox is starting to become a bit much. NEWS & INFORMATION:
-8.2 million people tuned in to the Downton Abbey finale Sunday night. This means there are 8.2 million people who are probably STILL upset over the death of Matthew Crawley. The season 3 finale numbers are 50% higher than the season 2 finale delivery. No real ratings to speak of just yet, but as soon as I can find something I'll let you know. In the mean time, to help you all cope with the somber mood you must be in, this video is pretty cute. Downton Abbey covers One Direction.

-I did watch Oprah's interview with Beyonce. I don't think I've ever seen Oprah gush over anyone the way she did over Beyonce. It was sorta weird and even a little disturbing, but, 1.3 million viewers tuned in to witness the butt kissing which helped the time period over deliver by 385% versus last year. If you have a chance to check out the interview, it's worth it just to count the incredible list of adjectives Oprah was able to string together to worship Beyonce and pretty much declare her a goddess. She's a beautiful entertainer...I'll give her that, but a goddess???
-There's yet another carriage dispute brewing between DirecTV and Sinclair Broadcasting. If these two can't reach an agreement soon, some local affiliates in 47 markets will be unavailable to DirecTV subscribers after February 28. Sinclair's stations include 24 Fox affiliates, 19 MyTV channels,12 ABC stations, 16 CW, 11 CBS, 3 NBC, 1 Azteca and 1 Independent affiliate. Not cool at all...lots of good shows will be missed. Work it out guys!
