NOTD: Snow

By Bethtinkerbell @TinksLostGirls

Hello folks,

If you saw my post from earlier today then you’ll know that in my advent today I received Nails Inc in Motcomb St, which is a lovely navy blue. When i’d posted my last post I had applied it on my little nails because they were nail varnish free and Kathryn wanted to see it on, and so I decided to use it in some Christmas or winter nails.

Because the nail varnish is navy blue, I decided the best way to use it was as the night sky, I then was unsure whether I should add stars or snow, but that decision was made for me when I discovered I don’t have a gold or yellow nail varnish, which needs fixing sharpish.

As you can see my snow nail doesn’t look great but I think it does look like snow so it’s a success for me.

L – R
Collection – 2 in 1 Strengthener and Hardener
Avon – 24k Gold Strength
Nails Inc – Motcomb St
Essie – Ballet Slippers
Models Own – Indian Ocean
Sally Hansen – Advanced Hard As Nails Topcoat

I did these by applying my base coat and treatment, and then a coat of Motcomb St, I used ballet slippers to create my snow, the idea was that there’d be a cloud at the top of my nail with snow falling down. I used Indian Ocean to give my nails a glittery winter feel which is shimmery and smooth rather than using glitter which can be quite rough. I applied my top coat so that it’ll last me the next couple of days.

The final piece!

What do you think of my winter nails, will you be trying your hand at winter or Christmas nails this month?
