Hey guys,
I realize I haven't been quite as consistent with posts lately, I seem to be either bombarding you with loads of stuff or nothing. But it is coming up to deadline period in uni so I'm swamped with essay plans, articles and presentations to complete, so please be patient with me?
As some of you who read my blog regularly will know, one of my beauty resolutions this year was to stop biting my nails & start experimenting with nail art.. Well.. that hasn't happened. I really am struggling to kick the habit. However I have invested in some false nails & have been playing with those instead.
Now, I have two different NOTD's here The first is from last weekend, I only took this polish off last night. The creature treated me to some false nails & the works so I decided to pick up a few cheap £1 polishes from MUA, This particular one is called 'moody mink' & actually reflected my mood last weekend pretty well.. As far as moods go, I was a nightmare!
The color is really pretty, it has a slight purple undertone but is neutral enough to work along with most of my outfits. I also teamed this with some GOSH nail glitter.
If you haven't tried nail glitter yet, you really should, they come in several colours (I picked up '01 silver' & '11 rose quarts') Simply paint your nails in a color of choice & once dried, use a clean varnish to cover which part of the nail you want glitter, dip your nail into the pot & once dry, remove excess with a brush.
If you want a little more staying power too, use the clear varnish again over the top of the glitter.
My second NOTD is from last night.
I came into my flat yesterday to find my flat mates had decorated the living room ready for an American themed party. They were really over excited about Obama & made their own little flags, put up balloons, a banner & bought a hoard of American style nibbles!
We were also told we must dress in red white or blue... So I decided to paint my nails blue and silver :)
I'd love to tell you where this polish came from, its an absolutely gorgeous colour, but I honestly have no idea. I think this was part of one of these Xmas sets we get from distant relatives.. But I will try and find out for you if anyone really wants to know.
My only problem with this polish is you can tell the quality is cheap, it chips easily, it takes ages to dry and unless you layer a top coat, it looks quite dull. But I have coated it with a layer of MUA clear polish too in the above photo.
Yep, they even bought bucksfizz & mini Champers bottles!
It was also my anniversary yesterday guys!
Yep, 2 years with my Creature. We did celebrate back in September on the day of your first ever date. But the 7th Nov is when we made it 'official' so Dan treated us to an amazing meal in Leeds at a restaurant called 'The livingroom'
The food was fantastic, I was treated to cocktails and flowers & to top it off, there was a woman singing and playing acoustic piano in the background.
As far as dates go, last night was perfection.
So have you guys done any funky nail art lately or tried GOSH glitter?
