Here’s something different from new Chicago rapper/singer known as NoName Gypsy. If you listened to Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap mixtape, you might remember hearing NoName Gypsy on the track titled “Lost.” She’s released a few of her own tracks via SoundCloud but hasn’t an album or mixtape out yet. The new track, “Cherrypie Blues” is free-formed and different, yet holds a nostalgic vibe – I immediately think Digable Planets when I hear this. The chill beat along with Gypsy’s poetic flow gives the track a real 90′s vibe. Check it out below.
