Nokia to Patent Flexible Jointed Smartphone Technology; to Release Tablet Fold?

Nokia has developed a technology that can be folded equipped with an integrated data connection.This technology seems appropriate for a smart phone that is folded or even for the tablet. In the patent application filed by Nokia, looked this system can be smaller and more useful than the usual plastic or metal hinged and will also be more useful for mobile devices.  System described by Nokia is using a multi-layered strips consisting of composite materials with various other material combinations. The first layer will consist of thermoplastic or thermoset material, synthetic rubber, while the next layer will use Kevlar or Cordura.

Nokia itself is known to have experimented with easily bendable rubber component or the like on mobile devices. For instance,  2650 clamshell released in 2004 has a flexible panel in Nokia Kinect concept and you guys may see the video below.
