Six brand of world automotive have agreed to use Nokia maps in vehicle navigation and automotive related products from each company. Six automotive brands that have agreed to work together to use the content map from Nokia is BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Garmin and Pioneer.
They will use the Nokia Loaction & Commerce Business. They also will use the content map from Nokia (Nokia Maps) in vehicle navigation system. Content maps used were apparently the same as those used throughout the Windows Phone 8.
This cooperation will allow users to brand cars to use maps with features that are more advanced. Motorists can access the various facilities in the content map Nokia, not only the direction but also the purpose of traffic information, notifications nearby location (feature favorites and places), and many more.
Nokia also want to try to make the dashboard from your control center, where access to map information and entertainment can be directly controlled from the dashboard of the car.
Nokia Maps is to be one of excellence in their products since the first. Certainly interesting to see Nokia cooperation with automotive companies in presenting their maps technology in car navigation systems, as well as in automotive products from various companies.
