Yes, yes, I'm one of those people who is too lazy to use a body lotion or body butter every day but still manages to moisturise my face twice a day. There's just something about waiting around for body lotion to dry before putting clothes on and getting on with things that just puts me right off, so when I saw this in-shower body moisturiser from Nivea I thought it would be the perfect solution for lazy people like me. I picked up this 250ml bottle in Bodycare a few weeks ago when it was on offer for around £2, although there's also a bigger 400ml bottle which is only £3 in Boots right now.
I'll start by saying that you need to use a fair bit of this product to make sure your whole body is moisturised, although I do tend to concentrate on the drier areas of my skin (arms & legs). The moisturiser has a nice creamy consistency and is easy enough to use as you just slather it all over yourself after washing off your shower gel, and then rinse the moisturiser off too. The lotion absorbs really quickly into your wet skin which makes it even easier to use and once you're finished in the shower you just need to jump out and dry yourself as you normally would. I love that the lotion also has (what I would consider) the traditional Nivea scent which is very pleasant without being overpowering.
While I've found that this in-shower moisturiser has indeed hydrated my skin with my legs and arms feeling softer than before, I wouldn't say it's as moisturising as other body butters I've used in the past. This really brings up a dilemma for me as I can either opt for the easier in-shower option which doesn't do as much for my skin, or put up with greasy feeling of waiting for body lotion to dry on the skin for the sake of softer skin. I think I'll try to continue reaching for both products depending on how much time I have, although I'd certainly recommend the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser to anyone looking for a quick fix for softer skin with minimal effort!
