A couple of weeks ago I attended a blogger’s preview event for NE1′s Newcastle Fashion Week at Bonbar in Newcastle, hosted by Danielle Dunn, and can I just say it was possibly the swankiest bar I’ve ever been to! It was really exciting as I missed out on Newcastle Fashion Week last year, but after that day I can definitely say I’m looking forward to it kicking off this time around.
At the event we were greeted with a lovely glass of Prosecco (a rather full that was kindly kept topped up throughout the afternoon!), and after everyone had arrived Sandra Tang talked us through what Newcastle Fashion Week was about and what events were going to be happening throughout the week. After Danielle had also talked to us for a little while, we mingled for the rest of the afternoon and tried to come up with names for the very tasty Newcastle Fashion Week cocktail! It was so lovely to catch up with some other North East bloggers, and finally getting to meet some I’ve spoke to for so long on Twitter! I’ll leave everyone’s link below but Lucy, Sarah, Rachel, and Katie… if you’re reading this it was lovely to see you’s :) There were people at the event doing hair, eyelashes, and HD brows so we were quite spoilt for choice, but I came home with some lovely fluttery lashes that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put back on… Oh, and there was the obligatory cupcake!
Newcastle Fashion Week itself has got some brilliant events happening during the course of the week, I sadly can’t make it to many as it’s right around exam time but the ones I think I can possibly make it to are the launch party in BonBar – 9th May and Martini Manicure Monday in Fat Buddha. I really, really wanted to go to the Get Into Fashion talks by Danielle and her team at Northumbria uni on the 16th, but it’s my university sports ball that night so I won’t be able to go! I’m gutted as Lauren Luke (aka panacea81 on YouTube) is going to be there and I’m so sad I’m going to miss it. There’s also a Clueless themed event on at House of Smith on Sunday 11th that I know a lot of people are excited for!
If you’re thinking about going to NE1′s Newcastle Fashion Week.. Do it! It’s going to be so fun and I know that I’d be at every event if I didn’t have so much uni work at the minute. If you want more details you can find the full programme for the week here, and don’t forget to check out the links I’ll leave below for you!
