J Crew had anything I could ever want in a Fall Collection, lots of colour, lots of print and lots of texture. 'Head to toe dressing' was the focus for the collection and that's just what we got., an eclectic range of stylish, wearable, seasonal outfits. Perfect. The Marc by Marc Jacobs collection was a lot more toned down than his main line shown in New York the day before. An androgynous collection of tailoring, outerwear and huge skirts and dresses all teamed with flat masculine boots with a gorgeous floral print brightening up the seasonal collection.Naeem Kahn gave us a gorgeous Indian-inspired collection yesterday and clearly had the Oscars on her mind with an array of floor-length, Red Carpet worthy gowns gliding down the runway. Geometric and Indian prints, beading, feathers and silk made for a luxurious, inspiring collection.Vera Wang's collection opened with a series of nude looks in wool, sheer, chiffon and cashmere, brightened up by pops of the neon orange making its way through the F/W12 shows. The looks soon evolved a darker, more seasonal palette with obscure cuts, varied lengths and lots of texture. While some looks didn't quite work (the peplums got lost and just didn't work on the print silk dresses) overall the collection had some strong looks and was an impressive show. Tory Burch and Oscar de La Renta reports to follow shortly.
