New York City’s Diamond District Sparkles on Project Runway

A radiant and bravura amalgam of glitz and glamour was perceived in the season 12 second week of the popular reality television show “Project Runway”.  Challenge given to the contestants of the show by the suave judge Heidi Klum was to fashion, an enchanting evening look on the runway, which is worthy enough of being accessorized with the breathtaking and pricey jewels that the models had adorned. This much spoken about illustrious show was inundated by dazzling diamonds summoned straight from the rich and renowned 47th Street Diamond District of the New York City. The episode was titled as most expensive one ever aired on this show. Splendid brilliance of diamond jewels worth $30 million was showcased by the models who lined up on stage of the show. Inspiration that the participants captured and employed in their designing was something as identical, grand, and mega-bling as these precious stones. This grand show captured the true essence of the celebrated diamond district, which was set up by the jewelers and diamond merchants in the 1940’s and is now one of the prime center for loose diamonds, diamond engagement rings, and fine jewelry across the globe. The judges at the show believed that the local business should be promoted and that the New York City’s Diamond industry was surely praiseworthy of an excellent coverage.
