Happy New Years Loves! Wishing you Love, Peace, and Many Blessings in 2013

As you may or may not recall, on January 1, 2012, I posted a check list of things to accomplish during 2012. I will be the first one to admit that I did not accomplish everything on my check list but I did a good job at aiming to grow as a person. It is my belief that each year we should do an inventory of our lives and strive to do better and be better. I’m not saying that we should strive for perfection because that will never happen. And let’s be honest, being perfect at everything is just plain boring! However, I think that everyone can grow and learn from people, experiences, and life in general. Even though I did accomplish some of my goals, I’ve decided not to make any New Year’s Resolutions this year.

On my checklist, I listed 9 tasks that I wanted to accomplish in 2012. I succeeded at completing 6 of the 9 goals I set for myself. I left the past behind, learned from anything I could, complimented people more, and told people that I was proud of them for accomplishing some of their goals. I cherish the people who play a huge part in my life and left the people behind who didn’t. I strived to be a nicer person and made an effort to do things for people without expecting anything in return. Last but not least, I made sure that during my travels in 2012, I made an effort to see something amazing.

Unfortunately I didn’t ditch a bad habit (old habits die hard :) ), I didn’t learn a new hobby nor did I do anything that scares me. But I’m 100% ok with that. This year, I’m ditching resolutions and checklist. I find that I set goals for myself throughout the year and not just on January 1st of a new year. I will continue to love more, live the best life possible, and continue to pursue any and every opportunity offered to me. I’m not resolving to do anything other than shop :) and I’m not resolving not to do anything. I’m putting my best foot forward and whatever happens simply happens. Realistically, how many of us actually keep our New Year’s resolutions anyway?

Welcome to 2013, you get 365 blank pages to write a new book, so tell me what’s in the 1st Chapter?
