New Year’s Eve in London #BriFri

By Joyweesemoll @joyweesemoll

New Year’s Eve in London #BriFriWelcome to British Isles Friday! British Isles Friday is a weekly event for sharing all things British and Irish - reviews, photos, opinions, trip reports, guides, links, resources, personal stories, interviews, and research posts. Join us each Friday to link your British and Irish themed content and to see what others have to share. The link list is at the bottom of this post. Pour a cup of tea or lift a pint and join our link party!

Last week, I reviewed the 1970 musical version of A Christmas Carol, Scrooge with Albert Finney.

This year, I intend to celebrate New Year's Eve in London. Since they are six hours ahead of where I am in the US, that means I can enjoy the festivities at the much more reasonable hour of 6pm.

The BBC will cover the show on the River Thames from many angles - the Shard, St. Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, and the clock at Westminster Palace with Big Ben ringing in the year. Here's the link to see it live on YouTube:

I'm wishing each of you a fun and safe New Year's Eve and peace and prosperity in 2023!
