Welcome to my latest experiment. I have been admitting for a long time that I need to and want to dive into Classic Doctor Who. A while back I took a poll asking what should be the first Classic Who episode I tackle, and while I received a few different answers, most people suggested I start at the beginning, where it all began, with The Unearthly Child. So I did, and this recording is my experience of that. I’m not sure if its fair to call it commentary, I mean it’s my commentary as I’m watching the episode for the first time, so I guess I can call it commentary, but I can’t promise on the entertainment value of any of it. I’ve been debating on starting back the Geekasms Podcast or begin something new, and this is my first venture into that “something new” realm.
I say this in this recording (not calling it an episode yet, because I feel to be an episode you are required to have more than one) but I want to say it again, I want plenty of feedback, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Getting into Classic Who is something I’m going to do, and if I can find a way to include all you incredible people in that adventure, I want to, and I want it to be entertaining and enjoyable for you as well. So please, help me steer this boat to safe passage.
