About The Founder
Having lived and traveled extensively around the world, Nailbox founder Nicola Louw has always had an adventurous spirit. Being a traveler, Nicola has never had much time for makeup and believes in a simple beauty regime, with just a touch of foundation and a lick of mascara. Her one and only beauty weakness is nail polish, she likes that "it's an easy way to feel groomed and adds a touch of personality to any outfit".
The idea for Nailbox was born out of this passion for polish. Nicola believes that nail polish is a rare fashion accessory in that it can be worn by anyone, "You don't need to be a size zero to stay on top of nail trends". She also loves the way nail polish is a quick pick-me-up, "your choice of color or nail art design is an instant expression of you!"
With this idea in mind, Nicola set about building an e-commerce space that would become every girl's (or boy's) BFF, giving everyone the opportunity to express themselves through color and fashion trends.
