Model D and The HOPE Fund have come together to distribute a film titled “Growing Leadership” that focuses on leaders in Michigan that serve in organizations catering towards LGBT people of color.
Excerpt from Model D website:
“There is exciting momentum within the region’s LGBT community, in great part due to the growing base of leaders serving communities of color,’ said Allan D. Gilmour, chair of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and co-chair of the HOPE fund. ‘The HOPE Fund is very pleased to release this film, which highlights several of our Racial Equity Initiative grantees and their leadership philosophies and experiences.”
The mini-film hopes to bring together more awareness of the grants that The HOPE Fund donates to LGBT organizations that specifically deal with POC issues, in particular the Racial Equity Initiative.
