I wrote a beast of a post earlier this afternoon so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet.
I enjoyed snack after going grocery shopping. Are you ever so excited about something you found at the market that you just can’t wait to try it?
Well that was me with these Oat Nut Clusters. I just couldn’t resist.
Then while I made dinner I snacked on some gluten free crackers and garlic hummus.
On my 1/2 marathon training plan I had 30 minutes of cross training on the agenda but I didn’t get it in. My muscles have been pretty sore for a little over a week and I think an extra day off might get my muscles over the soreness hump. I’m reaching back to my basketball playing days for this one but sometimes an extra day off really does help.
Last night Max and I stopped by Sports Authority and I left with new running shoes……..
Is it normal for runners to have –5% will power in the running store??
It was totally unplanned, I promise!
I knew I would need new shoes before my 1/2 marathon so I figured I’d just get the same ones that I was wearing, the Nike Lunar Glide +3. I had just happened to take a running shoe quiz on Runner’s World and these Asics Gel-Cumulus 13’s were on it. I saw them at Sports Authority so I figured I’d try them out.
After a left foot wearing Nike and a right foot wearing these Asics comparison I realized these Asics are 124 times more comfy for my feet than my lame-o Nikes! I wore them all day to break ‘em in.
For dinner I had 1 Tequila Lime Chicken Sausage on top of a toasted Rudi’s hot dog bun with salsa. A heaping pile of steamed broccoli and ketchup on the side.
