3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Hour Bag
The last time I did a bag reveal here on the blog was July 2012 when my baby Proenza Schouler PS1 came into my life. This one pictured above was an extremely generous birthday present from a loved one and I could not be happier. This means I get to replace my cheap and cheerful 'Structured' bag from Glassons that I've been carrying lately. It served me and my leaky smelly lunches well but it is time for a Phillip Lim upgrade. I missed out on when a range of the bags (31 Hour, Medium Pashli Satchel, regular Pashli and Pashli backpack) dropped at Fabric earlier this year (who by the way accept layby no matter where you are in the country), but in a way it turned out alright because I have had time to think about what it is I want from my next bag.
height: 13 inches / 33 cmwidth: 16 inches / 41 cmdepth: 6 inches / 15 cmThe 31 Hour bag is enormous and I'll admit I underestimated how much it can fit. A 'What's in My Bag' video is definitely on the agenda so I can see how much stuff it can carry without looking ridiculous. If you want LOLs, you can check out my last one here. The internal zip pocket is great too for things you don't want to end up at the bottom - coins, mints and the like.
Black
Choosing black was a no brainer because denim / dark fabric transfer on light coloured leather is plain heartbreaking. Plus black goes with everything. Price PointI could go on forever about the lack of leather bags within the $1,500 (more or less) price mark but Phillip Lim bags are pretty attainable. If you are buying online, don't forget to calculate duty before pulling the trigger.
