COOKBOOKS

Autumn has arrived and it has brought a batch of brand new cookbooks from our favorite celeb chefs to entice and tempt us. Here are Fashion Addicted Foodies favourites!

Lorraine Pascal

Lorraine Pascale has her own BBC television series, and she is a champion of easy, no-nonsense cooking. If you’ve ever seen Lorraine in action, you know that she loves food and always comes up with ways to spruce up old favourites as well as encourages everyone to have a go. From the seasoned cook to the absolute novice. How To Be Better Cook pretty much says it all. Lorraine shares tips and techniques and serves up some pretty fabulous new recipes in the process.

Ottolenghi
Yotam Ottolenghi is an Israeli born chef who has made a name for himself with his London restaurants and his middle eastern cooking with a western twist. His new Plenty More cookbook follows Plenty, the bestseller on mainly vegetarian dishes. And there indeed is Plenty More, 120 new recipes, all organised by cooking method. Organised and delicious!

Gordon Ramsey

Gordon says “These are the only recipes you’ll ever need”. And as we have all witnessed, what Gordon says in the kitchen, that’s pretty much the law. So, get stuck in. Stunning food at home.

Mary Berry

Mary Berry is the cake queen and national treasure, but this September she will also let you in on her cooking secrets. Cooks the Perfect includes over 100 new recipes and Mary shares her “Keys To Perfection” method with step by step instructions. Absolutely..erm…perfect!

Jamie Oliver

Jamie Oliver has written so many cookbooks you would think he is running out of recipes, but no, here comes over 100 new recipes on old favourites and everyone’s favorite comfort foods. It’s a bit of a food celebration, really, with favourites from around the world to add a little spice and to the vintage mix.

River Cottage

Let me have Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall himself take this one: ‘Eating more healthily isn’t about denial. For example, reducing one’s dependence on wheat flour and dairy ingredients, which don’t appear at all in this book, turns out to be a delicious voyage of discovery. New grains, new oils, new tastes, new combinations: it all adds up to a new zest for life.’

Great British Bake Off

Britain has gone Bake-Off mad, and over 10 million viewers tuned it last week for the “bin-gate” episode. (You really had to be there but it included a melting Baked Alaska and cries of sabotage.) Here’s a collection of over 100 foolproof (or so they say) baking recipes. From traybakes to coffee cakes to savory rolls, it’s all here for everyday baking.
