We’ve had wound golf balls, liquid center balls and solid balls but how about these ‘cavity-soft-strips’ thingamajigs. Yes I appreciate it's a picture of a new car tire being developed by Michelin.
But could a similar idea be applied to golf balls replacing the familiar multi-layer solid ball?
Potential for increased moment of inertia (MOI) and who knows in the near future we could all be manufacturing our own golf balls using additive manufacturing via 3D Printers. ----------------------------------------
