What are Google Helpouts?
Google being the ‘boss’ that it is, last year gave users the chance to get help if they need it or even give help if they can. From anyone, anywhere at anytime via webcam online. Not as seedy as it sounds. Big brands such as ASOS and Sephora have joined the helpout movement, offering those who sign up expert style and makeup tips over live video, and in the comfort of their own homes.
It’s not just big brands however, smaller businesses and individuals are also offering their top tips through Google Helpouts. I had a quick browse and ASOS are actually offering FREE style tips! However if you have your style down, and don’t need help mastering contouring or the smokey eye (Sephora charges $15). You can browse the many categories and even get help with homework, learn a new language or get all sorts of cooking classes and even advice from a handyman.
I was surprised by how many categories there are, and funnily enough can see me using Google Helpouts in the future. There’s been countless times that I’ve spent hours trying to find answers to questions online, only to give up because I didn’t find exactly what I needed. With Google Helpouts I can save myself the time, ask an expert the other side of the world and maybe even learn things I hadn’t set out to!
