Liver hemangioma is a disease which occurs in the liver and is basically related with hepatocytes. The liver is located in the upper right quadrant portion of the abdominal cavity. It Shaped like a cone the liver is a dark reddish-brown organ that weighs about 3 pounds to 4 pounds There are 2 distinct sources that help in supply blood to the liver including the following also
- Oxygenated blood flows from the hepatic artery
- Nutrient-rich blood flows from the hepatic portal vein
The liver consists of 2 main lobes. Both are made up of segments that consist of 1,000 lobules. These lobules are connected with small ducts that connect with larger ducts to form the common hepatic duct. The common hepatic duct helps to transport the bile made by the liver cells to the gallbladder and duodenum which is the first part of the small intestine via the common bile duct. INTRODUCTION
The liver weighs about 1-2kg which regulates and maintains the chemical levels of the body in the bloodstream and excretes the product called bile which is made by hepatocytes .
