Following changes in the script of Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming movie Madras Café the director finds top model Sheetal Mallar unsuitable to play the romantic lead opposite John Abraham. Now, Nargis Fakhi is set to replace Sheetal as the journalist and the filmmaker expects her to surprise everybody with this role.
“Nargis suited the role and I can assure you that she is going to surprise everybody with Madras Cafe. She is playing a journalist in the film,” said Sircar.
It’s worth mentioning here Sheetal Maalr isn’t the only model declared inapt for the role, rather two other models—Prosenjit and Ronit Roy had also been ruled out of the “Indian political thriller” previously.
